During this 50-day focus, weekly meetings were held to accelerate efforts to end veteran homelessness in Springfield & Sangamon County. The group analyzed the veteran crisis response system and was able to identify its current challenges and resources. The short timeline was intentional, as the efforts were used to push community partners to set bold goals and kick-start the work around improving collaboration to better serve our veterans. In this report, you will find the key findings, recommendations, and next steps needed to reach functional zero for veterans experiencing homelessness by 2026.
