Heartland HOUSED was established in the fall of 2022 to serve as the backbone organization tasked with developing strategy, supporting implementation activities, and facilitating the collaborative work of the Heartland Continuum of Care with the purpose of effectively addressing homelessness in Springfield & Sangamon County, IL. This early action step flowing from the Springfield & Sangamon County’s 2022-2028 Strategic Plan to Address Homelessness is a key foundational component of our community reaching the goals we have set.
Josh Sabo was hired as the Executive Director of Heartland HOUSED in October of 2022 and now we are excited to expand our team.
